Persistent stress and a feeling of being overwhelmed
Generalized anxiety, panic attacks, and constant worry
Symptoms of depression, including low mood, fatigue, and loss of interest
Insomnia, poor sleep quality, and racing thoughts at night
Mental fog, irritability, and difficulty concentrating
Many conventional treatments focus on managing the symptoms of anxiety and depression, often through chemical intervention. While this can be a crucial support, it may not address the fundamental reason why these feelings are occurring.
At Jeevan Ayurveda Centre, we go deeper than just managing symptoms. Ayurveda views mental health as intrinsically linked to your physical and spiritual well-being. Conditions like stress, anxiety, and depression are seen as a direct manifestation of a deep-seated imbalance within your mind-body system.
The primary underlying triggers according to Ayurveda are:
Dosha Imbalance: An aggravated Vata Dosha (specifically Prana Vayu), which governs the nervous system and mind, can lead to anxiety, fear, racing thoughts, and insomnia. An imbalance in Pitta can cause irritability and anger, while excess Kapha can lead to lethargy, heaviness, and depression.
Imbalance of the Gunas: The mind is governed by three subtle energies (Gunas): Sattva (clarity, peace), Rajas (activity, passion, agitation), and Tamas (inertia, darkness, heaviness). An excess of Rajas (agitation) contributes to anxiety, while an excess of Tamas (inertia) leads to depression.
Weak Agni (Digestive Fire): Just as we digest food, we also digest emotions and experiences. Poor digestion (both physical and mental) can create Ama (toxins), which can clog the Manovaha Srotas (channels of the mind), leading to mental fog and emotional imbalance.
Our treatment plan is designed to restore your natural state of balance and clarity, not just mask the turmoil. We use a holistic, time-tested approach that includes:
Panchakarma & Rejuvenation Therapies: Specialized treatments like Shirodhara (calming oil-flow on the forehead), Abhyanga (therapeutic massage), and Nasya (nasal administration of herbs) directly soothe the nervous system, pacify Vata, and clear mental toxins.
Balancing Herbal Remedies: We use potent Ayurvedic Medhya Rasayanas (brain tonics) like Ashwagandha, Brahmi, and Jatamansi to nourish the nervous system, build resilience to stress, and promote mental clarity.
Lifestyle & Diet Counseling: We guide you on simple but profound changes to your diet, daily routine (Dinacharya), and mindfulness practices (like yoga and pranayama) to support a calm, Sattvic (balanced) mind.
Our approach builds confidence because it heals from within. By addressing the root energetic and physical imbalances, Ayurveda doesn't just put a band-aid on your anxiety or depression—it empowers your mind and body to return to their natural state of peace and equilibrium for lasting mental wellness.
